Nasolabial lines (or ‘smile’ lines) are lines that run from the side of tour nose to the corner of your mouth.  They occur as we age when fat is lost from the cheeks (making them sag) and our skin loses collagen making it weaker and thinner.  To treat these lines, we must first assess the mid cheek area to see if there is any volume loss to add support to this area. If there is volume loss, we must treat the cheek area first, then we can directly treat the nasolabial lines.

 

If there is no volume loss present in the cheeks, we can directly treat the nasolabial lines with filler.  A consultation is always advised first so we can see what will give you the best outcome.
