ABOUT GUMMY SMILE

A gummy smile is when you smile, and an excessive amount of gum is shown above the upper lip.  This is most often due to a hyperactive muscle that elevates the upper lip.  This can be effectively corrected by Botulinum toxin injections which weakens the muscles response so the muscles is less hyperactive.
